On April 24, in Hanoi, Central Party Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung - Head of Steering Committee No. 7 - chaired a meeting with Party committees under the Group.
Steering Committee No. 7 directly directs the congress for 5 Party Committees: Ministry of Science and Technology, Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), State-owned Investment and Trading Corporation.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the 14th National Congress is identified as a special milestone on the development path, opening a new era, an era of national growth. The preparation and successful organization of party congresses at all levels is of key significance.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the document must closely follow the platform, absorb major guiding viewpoints, policies and orientations in draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and superiors; promptly update rapid changes in practice.
The political report must comprehensively, objectively and honestly assess the situation, achieved results, advantages, limitations, causes and lessons learned to suit the situation and requirements of new tasks.
The document must take the "four strategic ministries" as a guideline to build directions, goals, targets, tasks, and solutions for socio-economic development for the 2025-2030 term with a long-term strategic vision.
These are breakthroughs in developing science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation; arranging and streamlining the organization of the political system; developing the private economic sector; international integration in the new situation.
According to the Government leader, it is necessary to participate in the documents of the 14th National Party Congress and the documents of the upper-level Party Congress in a practical, effective, focused, and key direction, avoiding general and general comments.
In particular, emphasizing the quality of personnel, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that the new term Party Committee must be exemplary in terms of courage, intelligence, ethics, capacity, and prestige; be a united, clean, and strong center, meeting the requirements of the new period.
Do not let "entering" the Party Committee with unqualified people, showing signs of degradation, political opportunities, ambition for power, corruption, negativity, violating discipline, and declaring assets dishonestly and without exemplary models.
Other core factors need to be focused on, such as: Strict personnel procedures; quality of delegates; ensuring stability and development. Party committees at all levels urgently improve and stabilize the organization and apparatus to operate in accordance with the regulations of the Party, the Central Committee, and the Politburo in managing activities as well as in the process of organizing party congresses and Party cells.
