Disciplinary reprimand for Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Council
National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed and issued a Resolution dated September 12 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on disciplinary action against Mr. Le Van Nung - Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly disciplined Mr. Le Van Nung, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province for the 2021-2026 term, with a reprimand for violations and shortcomings in his work.
Disciplinary action against Chairman of Ha Giang province and many officials
On September 10 and 11, 2024, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Committee (CIC) held its 47th meeting. The CIC decided to take disciplinary action:
- Remove from all positions in the Party Mr. Le Tien Dung - Deputy Secretary of the Party Cell, Acting Director of the Management Board of Traffic Construction Investment Projects of Ha Giang province.
- Warning to individuals: Nguyen Van Son - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Giang province; Luong Van Doan - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment.
- Reprimand Mr. Le Minh Duc - Party Secretary, Director of Department of Transport.
The Central Inspection Commission proposed that competent authorities consider and discipline the Standing Committee of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term and Mr. Dang Quoc Khanh - former member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee.
Disciplinary action against 2 former Vice Chairmen of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province
On September 10, the Office of the Government announced that Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh signed the Prime Minister's decisions on disciplinary action against two former Vice Chairmen of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
In Decision No. 940/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister disciplined Mr. Le Thanh Dung - former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province for the 2011-2016 term with a warning.
In Decision No. 941/QD-TTg, the Prime Minister disciplined Mr. Le Tuan Quoc, former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province for the 2016-2021 term, with the form of Reprimand.
The above individuals have committed violations and shortcomings in their work and the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee has disciplined them with Party discipline, the disciplinary period is calculated from the date of announcement of Decision No. 1178-QD/TU dated April 8, 2024 of the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Party Committee.
Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission disciplines officials and leaders for violations
On September 9, the Gia Lai Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission held its 48th session. At the session, after reviewing the inspection results when there were signs of violations and the review results, it proposed to discipline the Party Committee of the Department of Home Affairs, Party Cell 3 (under the Party Committee of the Department of Home Affairs) and Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tien - Provincial Party Committee member, Party Secretary, Director of the Department of Home Affairs; Mr. Ho Hai Tan - Party Cell 3 Secretary, Deputy Director of the Department and Head of Religion of Gia Lai province.
As for Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tien, in his position as Party Secretary, he is responsible as the head for the shortcomings and violations of the Department's Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term. As the director of the department and the agency's account holder (from November 2020 to 2023), Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tien is directly and personally responsible for the shortcomings and violations in the management and use of funding sources at the Department of Home Affairs.
Mr. Ho Hai Tan is the Secretary of Party Cell 3, responsible as the head for the shortcomings and violations of Party Cell 3 during the terms of 2017-2020, 2020-2022, 2022-2025. As the Head of Provincial Religion, the account holder of the agency (from March 2017 to 2023), Mr. Ho Hai Tan is directly responsible and personally responsible for the shortcomings and violations in the management and use of funds at the Provincial Religious Committee.
Considering the content, nature, level, consequences, and causes of the violation, based on Party regulations, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission decided to discipline Mr. Ho Hai Tan with a Warning.
At the same time, the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission requested competent authorities to consider and discipline Mr. Nguyen Dinh Tien.
