Accordingly, implementing the Conclusion Notice No. 714-TB/UBKTTW, dated July 31, 2024 of the Central Inspection Committee, the Standing Committee of An Giang Provincial Party Committee held a meeting chaired by Comrade Le Hong Quang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to review and discipline violating party organizations and party members.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee reviewed the nature, level of violations and shortcomings of the Party Committee of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2015-2020 and 2020-2025 terms; the Party Committee of the Department of Planning and Investment for the 2015-2020 and 2020-2025 terms; the Party Committee of the Department of Finance for the 2015-2020 term; and the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Office for the 2015-2020 and 2020-2025 terms.
Regarding the violating party members, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee found that: Comrade Nguyen Bao Trung, Party Committee Secretary, Head of Economic Zone Management; former member of the Party Executive Committee, former Party Committee Secretary, former Chief of the Provincial People's Committee Office; former Party Committee member, former Deputy Director of the Department of Construction is responsible as the head for the violations and shortcomings of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Office for the terms 2015 - 2020, 2020 - 2025, so that the Provincial People's Committee Office can appraise and submit to the Provincial People's Committee to sign and issue documents on mineral management work contrary to the law; for a number of cadres and party members of the Provincial People's Committee Office Party Committee to violate the Party's regulations and the State's laws, they must be held criminally responsible; in his position as Party Committee member, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, he is responsible for signing documents granting licenses for areas delimited without auctioning mineral exploitation rights according to the law.
Comrade Nguyen Bao Trung violated the Regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the Regulations on exemplary responsibilities of cadres and party members.
Comrade Nguyen Bao Trung's violations have caused serious consequences, risking loss of revenue and state budget, causing bad public opinion, reducing the prestige of the Party organization and state management agencies in the locality, to the point that disciplinary action must be considered.
Considering the content, nature, level, consequences and causes of the violation, based on the Party's regulations on disciplinary action against violating Party organizations and Party members, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee decided to take disciplinary action: Warning the Party Committee of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for the 2015-2020 and 2020-2025 terms; Warning the Party Committee of the Department of Planning and Investment for the 2015-2020 term; Reprimand the Party Committee of the Department of Planning and Investment for the 2020-2025 term; Reprimand the Party Committee of the Department of Finance for the 2015-2020 term; Warning the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Office for the 2015-2020 term; Reprimand the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee Office for the 2020-2025 term.
Regarding party members, the Provincial Party Standing Committee decided to discipline comrade Nguyen Bao Trung with a warning.
