Disciplining many officials in Bac Ninh and Quang Ninh provinces
On May 8 and 20, 2026, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Committee (UBKTTW) held the 6th Meeting, considering the report proposing disciplinary action against violating party members in the Party Committees of Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh provinces. The UBKTTW noted:
At the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee:
Nguyen Duc Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council; Diep Van Chien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, have declined in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned responsibilities and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example.
At the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee (now Bac Ninh province):
Mr. Bui Van Hai - former member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council - violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and responsibilities, in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing very serious consequences.
Individuals Nguyen Van Linh - former Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Lai Thanh Son - former Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Trinh Huu Thang - former Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment; Bui The Son - former Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Transport; Pham Giang - former Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Construction; Nguyen Tien Coi - former Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Finance; Nguyen Van Khai - former Provincial Party Committee member, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Nguyen Van Son - former Deputy Director of the Department of Transport - have violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned duties and responsibilities, in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; violating regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility of setting an example.
UBKTTW decided:
Disciplinary action Warning to individuals: Nguyen Van Linh, Lai Thanh Son, Trinh Huu Thang, Bui The Son, Pham Giang, Nguyen Tien Coi, Nguyen Van Khai, Nguyen Van Son.
Request competent authorities to consider and discipline individuals: Nguyen Duc Thanh, Diep Van Chien, Bui Van Hai.

Proposal to discipline 1 commune accountant for dishonesty in asset declaration
Mr. Le Trong Nguyen - Chief Inspector of Can Tho City - has just signed and issued the Conclusion on verifying assets and income in 2025 of Ms. B.T. T. N - accountant of the Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of Chau Thanh commune.
According to the conclusion, Ms. N's declaration of assets and income still has some limitations and errors, such as: Declaring incorrectly the agency issuing the Certificate of Land Use Rights; incorrectly declaring the number of land plots; falsely declaring between cash and deposits; incorrectly declaring total income between two declarations.
From there, the Inspectorate of Can Tho City proposed that the Chairman of Chau Thanh Commune People's Committee consider the responsibility and discipline Ms. N according to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 51 of the Law on Anti-Corruption in 2018.
