On May 8 and 20, 2026, in Hanoi, the Central Inspection Committee held its 6th Meeting under the chairmanship of Politburo Member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Sy Thanh.
At the Meeting, the Central Inspection Committee considered the Report proposing disciplinary action against violating party members at the Party Committees of Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh provinces, the Central Inspection Committee found:
At the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee:
Nguyen Duc Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Council, Standing Vice Chairman of the Quang Ninh Provincial People's Council; Diep Van Chien, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Internal Affairs Committee of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee, have declined in political ideology, morality, and lifestyle; violated Party regulations and laws of the State in performing assigned responsibilities and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing very serious consequences, adversely affecting the prestige of Party organizations and localities, agencies, and working units, to the extent that disciplinary action must be taken.
At the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee (now Bac Ninh province):
Mr. Bui Van Hai, former member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, violated Party regulations and laws of the State in performing assigned duties and responsibilities, in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility to set an example; causing very serious consequences, adversely affecting the prestige of the Party organization and localities, agencies, and working units, to the extent that disciplinary action must be taken.
Individuals Nguyen Van Linh, former: Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Lai Thanh Son, former: Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Party Personnel Committee, Standing Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Trinh Huu Thang, former: Provincial Party Committee Member, Director of the Department of Planning and Investment; Bui The Son, former: Provincial Party Committee Member, Director of the Department of Transport; Pham Giang, former: Provincial Party Committee Member, Director of the Department of Construction; Nguyen Tien Coi, former: Provincial Party Committee Member, Director of the Department of Finance; Nguyen Van Khai, former: Provincial Party Committee Member, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development; Nguyen Van Son, former Deputy Director of the Department of Transport, violated Party regulations and State laws in performing assigned responsibilities and tasks, in preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; violated regulations on what party members are not allowed to do and the responsibility of setting an example;
Considering the content, nature, severity, consequences, and causes of violations; based on Party regulations, the Central Inspection Committee decides:
Disciplinary warning for individuals: Nguyen Van Linh, Lai Thanh Son, Trinh Huu Thang, Bui The Son, Pham Giang, Nguyen Tien Coi, Nguyen Van Khai, Nguyen Van Son.
Request competent authorities to consider and discipline individuals: Nguyen Duc Thanh, Diep Van Chien, Bui Van Hai.
Also at this session, the Central Inspection Committee considered and resolved denunciations against 2 Party organizations and 2 Party members; resolved complaints about Party discipline in 2 cases and concluded on some other important contents.
