On the afternoon of September 17, 2024, in Hanoi, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics held a ceremony to celebrate its 75th anniversary and receive the First Class Labor Medal.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, General Secretary and President To Lam attended and delivered a speech.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Xuan Thang - Member of the Politburo, President of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council - emphasized that over the past 75 years, with the glorious responsibility and pride of being the school carrying out "the Party's original work", the Academy has trained hundreds of thousands of mid-level and senior cadres of the Party and the political system from the Central to local levels and international students with political theory, revolutionary ethics, leadership and management skills, and practical organizational capacity, promptly and effectively meeting the strategic goals and tasks of the revolutionary cause in historical periods.
With great efforts and achievements in 75 years of construction and development, the Academy has been awarded many noble awards by the Party and State such as: Gold Star Order, Ho Chi Minh Order (twice), Independence Order, Labor Hero title in the renovation period and First Class Labor Order (second time).
At the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam awarded the First Class Labor Medal, a noble award of the Party and State, to the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Secretary and President To Lam expressed his excitement and pride in the achievements that the Academy named after beloved President Ho Chi Minh has achieved after 75 years of construction and development, and was deeply aware of the glorious responsibility on the journey with the entire Party, people and army to bring the country into a new era, an era of national growth, to fulfill President Ho Chi Minh's wish "Our entire Party and people unite to strive to build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam, contributing worthily to the world revolutionary cause" in the context of many favorable conditions, but also many difficulties and challenges.
Faced with increasingly high demands in the work of training, fostering cadres and scientific and theoretical research, General Secretary and President To Lam assigned the task to cadres, lecturers and students of the school to strongly innovate the work of training and fostering cadres according to the motto "learners are the center, schools are the foundation, lecturers are the driving force".
General Secretary and President To Lam requested to build the Academy to truly become a model of Party building work; a model of maintaining school discipline, study discipline, a red address to nurture the good qualities of Communists; preserve and spread the positive values of the Party School culture to other Political Schools and training institutions across the country.
