On June 25, the People's Council of Lang Son province, term XVII, 2021-2026, held its 38th session (special session) to discuss and decide on many important contents on personnel work, finance, organizational structure and supervision program in 2025.
At the session, the Provincial People's Council dismissed Mr. Nguyen Thanh Son - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee and Mr. Hoang Van Hong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Bac Son district due to health reasons and retired from July 1, 2025.
At the same time, the Provincial People's Council dismissed Mr. Tran Xuan Manh (former Commander of the Provincial Military Command) from the position of Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 1 and elected Mr. Mai Xuan Phong - the new Commander of the Provincial Military Command as a member of the Provincial People's Committee.
The session also passed many important resolutions on: Adjusting the staff of civil servants in 2025; Reorganizing the Provincial Inspectorate; Repeating inappropriate resolutions; Regulating the collection rate, fees for civil status, online administrative procedures, converting documents after restructuring the apparatus; Deciding on budget in 2024; Spending on organizing cultural, sports and tourism competitions; Adjusting the supervision program of the Provincial People's Council in 2025
In total, the session voted to pass 18 resolutions, including: 4 resolutions on personnel work; 3 resolutions on mechanisms and policies; 4 resolutions on finance, fee collection and charge; 4 resolutions on organizational structure, land, and staffing; 3 resolutions on supervision and revocation of documents
Ms. Doan Thi Hau emphasized the need for the Provincial People's Committee and all levels and sectors to urgently implement the resolutions that have just been passed.
In particular, it is necessary to carefully prepare for the trial operation of the new commune-level model on 26/276.6 and officially from 1.7.2025, ensuring uninterrupted public services, and handing over complete and confidential documents.
In addition, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Council proposed to promote socio-economic development, aiming for a growth target of 8-9% in 2025; complete the dossier for the mid-year session and successfully organize the commune-level Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term.
Finally, People's Council delegates were encouraged to proactively propose the content of questions and discussions for the mid-year session and strongly apply information technology to parliamentary activities.
