The Inspectorate is focusing on resolving complaints and denunciations that have been prolonged and exceeded the level to the Central Government.

On April 19, according to PV's research, the Government Inspectorate has just released a Report on the Results of Resolving and Responding to voters' petitions sent after the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly.

Notably, voters in Hanoi City requested the Government to direct ministries and functional branches to publicize the results of receiving citizens, handling complaints and denunciations of citizens because there are many problems and long-standing issues that have not been completely resolved, causing frustration for the people.

Responding to this issue, the Government Inspectorate said that every year, the Government Inspectorate is assigned to preside over and develop a Government report on citizen reception, handling of administrative complaints and denunciations, and authorization of the Prime Minister, on behalf of the Government to present at National Assembly sessions.

In 2024, administrative agencies received 447,571 applications of all kinds; processed 436,662 applications, with 366,174 applications eligible for processing. Through handling, there were 54,953 complaints, 21,987 denunciations, 289,234 recommendations and reflections; there were 30,238 complaints and denunciations under the authority of state administrative agencies.

Administrative agencies at all levels have handled 25,823/30,238 complaints and denunciations under their authority, reaching a rate of 85.4%.

Through the settlement of complaints and denunciations, it has been recommended to reclaim 33.9 billion VND, 19.1 hectares of land to the state; return 106.5 billion VND, 1.5 hectares of land to organizations and individuals; restore and ensure the rights of 26 organizations and 2,235 individuals; propose to handle 543 people; transfer 17 cases and 21 subjects to the investigation agency for consideration and handling.

Regarding reviewing and resolving pending, complicated and prolonged cases:

In the past time, implementing the direction of the Prime Minister, the Government Inspectorate has issued a plan to urge and inspect localities to review and resolve 1,003 cases of pending, complicated, and prolonged complaints and denunciations, and mass complaints at central agencies.

The working groups of the Prime Minister, the Government Inspectorate and localities have inspected and reviewed 890/1,003 cases, while 114 cases (11.3%) of localities have not yet reported the results of the inspection and review.

The Government Inspectorate is continuing to urge localities to urgently inspect, review and report the results to the Government Inspectorate.

Currently, the Government Inspectorate and the Inspectorate are focusing on implementing and implementing the Conclusion of General Secretary To Lam in Notice No. 142-TB/VPTW dated March 20, 2025 on resolving prolonged complaints and denunciations, exceeding the central level in Hanoi for 226 cases.

The Government Inspectorate has advised the Prime Minister to develop and submit a plan and establish a Working Group for implementation, determined to strive to complete in the second quarter of 2025.
