On March 19, information from the Election Commission of Nghe An province said that it had just announced the results of the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. According to assessments, the election in the area took place in accordance with legal regulations, ensuring democracy, safety and achieving a very high voter turnout compared to previous terms.
The results show that Nghe An has elected 85/85 provincial-level People's Council delegates (reaching 100%) and 2,910/2,911 commune-level People's Council delegates (reaching 99.96%). The structure and composition of delegates basically meet the requirements, in which the quality of delegates has been clearly improved, especially in terms of professional qualifications and practical capacity.

The whole province has 3,116 polling stations in 130 communes and wards, with an average voter turnout rate of 99.86%, equivalent to 2,339,786/2,343,017 voters. There are 2,911 polling stations with 100% voter participation; 83/130 communes and wards recorded absolute participation rate.
Notably, no locality has to hold re-elections or additional elections because it did not achieve the voter turnout as prescribed. This is also the election with the highest voter turnout in Nghe An in recent terms, exceeding 97.67% of the 2016–2021 term and 98.93% of the 2021–2026 term.
Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Election Steering Committee Nguyen Khac Than affirmed that the above results demonstrate the high consensus of voters and people, and at the same time are proof of the efforts and determination of the entire political system from the province to the grassroots level in the context of a large area, large population and many characteristics. The election truly becomes a great festival for the whole people.
