On January 1, Thanh Hoa City People's Council held the first session of Thanh Hoa City People's Council for the 2021-2026 term (after merging Dong Son district into Thanh Hoa City) to complete the administrative apparatus of Thanh Hoa City.
At the meeting, the City People's Council elected the following positions: Chairman, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Head and Deputy Head of the Economic - Social Committee, the Legal Committee of the City People's Council, term XXII, 2021-2026. Elected positions of the City People's Committee including: Chairman, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, term XXII, 2021-2026.
Mr. Le Anh Xuan - Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa City, term XXII, 2021-2026; Mr. Le Quang Hien - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, term 2020-2025 was elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Council of the City, term XXII, 2021-2026.
Mr. Le Trong Thu - Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. Messrs. Le Mai Khanh, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; Nguyen Viet Hung, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; Nguyen Van Hung, member of the City Executive Committee for the 2020-2025 term were elected to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa City People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Le Anh Xuan - Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Thanh Hoa City thanked the City People's Council delegates for their trust. "With responsibility before the Party Committee, the government, voters and people, I am deeply aware that I need to continue to make more efforts, constantly practice moral qualities, improve qualifications and capacity, and unify leadership and direction to successfully complete the set goals and targets, worthy of the expectations and trust of voters and people of the city".
