On August 21, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary and President To Lam, Head of the Personnel Subcommittee of the 14th Party Congress, chaired the second meeting of the Subcommittee, according to VNA.
The meeting gave opinions on: Draft Report summarizing the personnel of the 13th Party Central Committee and developing directions for personnel work of the 14th Party Central Committee;
Draft Report to the Politburo summarizing the personnel work of the 13th Party Central Committee and the direction of personnel work of the 14th Party Central Committee;
Draft direction for personnel work of the 14th Party Central Committee to submit to the Politburo for comments before collecting comments from party committees, organizations and agencies according to regulations.
Attending the meeting were Politburo members: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh; Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man; Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Luong Cuong; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Cam Tu.
Also attending the meeting were members of the Subcommittee and members of the Helping Team of the Human Resources Subcommittee.
Speaking at the conclusion of the meeting, General Secretary and President To Lam , Head of the Personnel Subcommittee of the 14th Party Congress - clearly stated the need to continue to deeply grasp and unify awareness of the position, meaning, and the role and importance of cadre work and personnel preparation for the 14th Party Congress; Inheriting the great and specific ideology and orientation of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, former Head of the Human Resources Subcommittee at the First Session.
In particular, the results of the summary of the personnel of the 13th Party Central Committee must be taken as an important basis for building the personnel direction of the 14th Party Congress.
General Secretary and President To Lam requested that the Party Congress's personnel work be done urgently and cautiously, ensuring solidarity and unity within the Party; must ensure the maintenance of the Party's leadership and ruling role. Personnel considered for selection must be officials with leadership capacity, professional qualifications, and prestige among the people and within the Party.
The personnel preparation process must ensure direct, comprehensive, regular, continuous, tight, and democratic leadership of the Party Central Committee, Politburo, Secretariat, party committees, and organizations. party; We must put the interests of the Party, the country, the nation and the people first and foremost.
Emphasizing that the task of the Human Resources Subcommittee is particularly important, difficult and sensitive, together with the Documents Subcommittee and other subcommittees, it determines the success of the Congress, General Secretary and President To Lam.
