Environmental issues, especially handling pollution on To Lich River, have undergone clear changes
On the morning of October 14, at the National Convention Center (Hanoi), the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee held an opening ceremony for the Press Center to serve the 18th Hanoi City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Hanoi Party Committee Dao Xuan Dung (Director of the Press Center for the 18th Hanoi City Party Congress) said that the Center's operation is an important preparation step, demonstrating the special attention of the city's leaders to information and propaganda work before, during and after the 18th Hanoi City Party Congress.
Reviewing the results of Hanoi Capital in the 2020-2025 term, Deputy Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the City Party Committee Dao Xuan Dung said that the Hanoi City Party Committee has promoted the spirit of innovation, solidarity, intelligence, creativity, focused on comprehensive leadership and direction in all aspects of work, bringing the Capital to many outstanding results, making important contributions to the overall achievements of the whole country.
The city has effectively implemented 10 work programs, 5 key tasks, 3 breakthroughs, completing 16/20 targets of the Resolution of the 17th Congress, of which 4 targets exceeded the plan.
Notably, the capital's economy recovered strongly after the pandemic, with average growth reaching 6.57%, higher than the national average; budget revenue exceeded the estimate, the economic structure shifted positively.
Hanoi has many institutional and policy breakthroughs with Resolution 15-NQ/TU of the Politburo, the Capital Law 2024, along with a series of resolutions and projects on building a cadre team, developing cultural industries, digital transformation, building a smart city.
The fields of culture, education, health, science and technology have made many advances; social security is guaranteed, by 2024 there will be no more poor households according to city standards.
Infrastructure and urban planning continue to be invested in, many key projects are completed; the environment, especially the treatment of pollution on To Lich River, has undergone clear changes. Political security, social order and safety are maintained, foreign affairs are expanded, contributing to enhancing the position and prestige of the capital in the country and internationally.
According to Director of the Press Center serving the 18th Hanoi Party Congress Dao Xuan Dung, the 18th Hanoi Party Congress will start its adjournment session at 1:30 p.m. on October 15, 2025, the opening session will start at 7:30 a.m. on October 16, 2025 and the closing session will start at 3:00 p.m. on October 17, 2025.
The Congress is responsible for reviewing the implementation of the Resolution of the 17th Congress of the City Party Committee (2020-2025); deciding on the goals, directions, and tasks for building and developing the Capital for the 2025-2030 period, with a vision to 2045; electing the 18th City Party Executive Committee and electing the Delegation to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party; at the same time, discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the 18th Hanoi City Party Congress is of special importance, orienting the Party Committee, government, armed forces and people of all walks of life in the capital to seize opportunities, overcome challenges, and determined to build the capital "Cultured - Civilized - Modern".
At the same time, pioneering with the whole country to enter a new era - the era of prosperous and strong development of the Vietnamese people, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of the country's development goals by 2030, with a vision to 2045.
Emphasizing that information and propaganda work plays a particularly important role in spreading the spirit, content and results of the Congress to cadres, party members and people of the Capital, as well as the people of the whole country, Mr. Dao Xuan Dung affirmed that the Press Center is not only an address to provide official information, but also a connecting forum, where press agencies express the spirit of companionship and responsibility, contributing to strengthening the people's trust in the leadership of the Party and the city government.
The Press Center will be an important bridge to contribute to quickly, promptly and accurately conveying the atmosphere and results of the 18th Congress to the people of the Capital and the whole country, emphasized the Director of the Press Center serving the 18th Hanoi City Party Congress.

At the opening ceremony, the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee disseminated regulations on press work at the 18th Hanoi Party Congress, requesting reporters from central and Hanoi press agencies to strictly comply with regulations on information provision, ensuring security and safety, demonstrating professionalism, contributing to the overall success of the Congress.
