On February 28, Hai Duong Provincial Police held a ceremony to announce decisions on the organization, personnel work, and implementation of the new organizational apparatus of the Provincial Police.
At the ceremony, the Provincial Police announced the decisions of the Minister of Public Security on the organization of the Provincial Police apparatus; decisions on the dissolution of the District, Town, City Police and affiliated organizations. From March 1, the new organizational apparatus of Hai Duong Provincial Police will include 26 department-level units and 207 commune-level police units, and at the same time, the police of 12 districts, towns and cities will be terminated.
Next, the Provincial Police Department's Organization Department announced the decision of the Provincial Police Director on the organization of the apparatus of 7 department-level units with changes (to organize additional working teams); announced the decision of the Provincial Police Director on personnel work for 201 leaders and commanders.
After the arrangement, the Provincial Police added 544 officers and soldiers to the Commune-level Police force, an average of 10.4 officers and soldiers/commune. The remaining officers will be considered for transfer, arrangement, and assignment to work at the professional units of the Provincial Police.
Previously, 18 leaders at the department and district levels (9 Department Heads, District Police Heads; 9 Deputy Department Heads, Deputy District Police Heads); 2 Department Heads asked to be assigned to lower positions.

Also on February 28, Hai Duong Provincial Police coordinated with departments and branches to organize a conference to receive additional functions and tasks of state management of drug addiction treatment and post-drug addiction management; state management of testing, issuing driving licenses; state management of criminal records and performing public services for issuing criminal records; state management of network safety and security.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hung - Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee - suggested that the provincial police force should organize a review and systematization of documents issued by the province related to state management tasks of criminal records and implementation of public services for issuing criminal records, drug addiction treatment and post-rehabilitation management, road motor vehicle driving license testing, ensuring network safety and security to promptly advise, propose amendments and supplements to suit the new organizational structure and apparatus.
