    Hai Phong - On the morning of April 10, Hai Phong held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision approving Mr. Le Ngoc Chau to hold the position of Secretary of the City Party Committee.

    According to Decision No. 136-QDNS/TW, dated April 9, 2026 of the Politburo: Approving Mr. Le Ngoc Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee to hold the position of Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030; appointing him to participate in the Party Committee of Military Region 3.

    Mr. Le Ngoc Chau was born in 1972, native of Hanoi City. From July 2025, after Hai Phong and Hai Duong merged, Mr. Le Ngoc Chau was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee. Previously, on April 8, the City National Assembly Delegation elected Mr. Le Ngoc Chau to hold the position of Head of the 16th City National Assembly Delegation, term 2026-2031.
