On the afternoon of November 19, the People's Council of Dien Bien province, term XV, 2021-2026, held its 23rd session (special session) to perfect the key leadership positions of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee.
At the session, the Provincial People's Council voted to dismiss Mr. Lo Van Phuong from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026, and to dismiss Mr. Le Thanh Do from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026.

Also at the session, with 43:30 votes, Mr. Le Thanh Do was elected as Chairman of the People's Council of Dien Bien province, term 2021-2026.
At the same time, with 43 43 43 43 43 delegates electing Mr. Le Van Luong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Dien Bien province.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Tien Dung - Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee sent his congratulations to the two comrades who have just been elected to hold new responsibilities.
The Provincial Party Secretary also suggested that after the meeting, the leaders of the Provincial People's Council and People's Committee urgently get to work to continue to inherit and promote the achieved results.

Speaking on receiving the assignment, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Le Thanh Do promised to work with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to build solidarity, unity, strictly comply with the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and comply with the law, constantly innovate and promote the spirit of initiative and responsibility.
In his new position, Mr. Le Van Luong - Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee expressed: "Personally, I am aware that this is both a great honor and a responsibility assigned by the Party Committee, government and people of Dien Bien province".
With the responsibility of being assigned as the head of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Le Van Luong promised to inherit and promote the achievements and results of the Provincial People's Committee in the past time.
