On November 19, the People's Council of Lai Chau province, term XV, 2021-2026, held the 33rd Session (special session) to carry out personnel work according to its authority.
At the meeting, the Lai Chau Provincial People's Council discussed and approved a resolution on the dismissal of Mr. Le Van Luong from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term due to his new assignment (as assigned by the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee).
Next, the Provincial People's Council voted to elect Mr. Ha Quang Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. As a result, 39/40 votes, reaching 97.5% of the Provincial People's Council delegates present, voted in favor.
Speaking at the ceremony, the new Chairman of the People's Committee, Ha Quang Trung, promised to be dedicated, Nguoi Lam, Thong Tin, united in working, devoted, and making every effort with the highest responsibility for the overall development of the province.
At the session, the Provincial People's Council also voted to elect Mr. Duong Quoc Hoan - Chief of the Provincial People's Council Office to hold the position of Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.
Previously, on November 17, Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Central Party Secretariat on the transfer and appointment of Mr. Ha Quang Trung - Deputy Secretary of Dien Bien Provincial Party Committee to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Lai Chau Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.
