Da Nang - Rescue forces have just promptly rescued a 7-seat car swept away by floodwaters while traveling on DT611, passing through Nong Son commune.

Initial information, on the morning of November 19, when the car was moving through a low-lying road on DT611 route in Nong Son, water from upstream suddenly poured down, rose rapidly and swept the vehicle down to the danger zone.

The Military Command of Nong Son commune urgently mobilized nearly 10 officers, soldiers and militia, using canoes to approach the scene, using ropes to secure the vehicle, approaching and bringing the driver out safely before pulling the car to a stable position.

Chairman of Nong Son Commune People's Committee - Ly Xuan Phong said that the locality has set up checkpoints at many dangerous locations during heavy rains.
As of this morning, the rainfall has decreased and some roads can be used again. However, the Nong Son area is located in the upstream of the Thu Bon River, combined with flood regulation activities of hydropower plants, so the water level changes rapidly, the risk of insecurity is always present, said Mr. Phong.

Currently, the driver has been brought to a safe place, and the authorities continue to monitor the development of floods to proactively respond.
