On the afternoon of September 6, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee held a conference to announce the decisions of the Politburo and the Central Party Secretariat on personnel work.
At the conference, the Politburo decided to appoint Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City to hold the position of Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, term 2020-2025.
Mr. Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee, presented the decision and assigned the task to the new Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet.
Previously, on September 3, Mr. Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee, was appointed to the position of Deputy Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate.
Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet (49 years old, from the old Quang Nam), has a high level of political theory, Master of Business Administration, Silicat Technology Engineer.
During his working career, he has held many positions in the old Da Nang city such as Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union, Secretary of the Lien Chieu District Party Committee, Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, Chief of Office of the Da Nang City Party Committee, Secretary of the Hai Chau District Party Committee.
In October 2020, he was elected to hold the position of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee.
In December 2020, delegates elected him to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Da Nang City.
In January 2021, he was elected as an alternate member of the 13th Party Central Committee, term 2021-2026.
In January 2024, he was transferred and appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee (old).
From July 1, 2025, after the merger of administrative boundaries between Da Nang and Quang Nam, he was appointed to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of the new Da Nang City People's Committee.
