On November 2, Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee held a conference to implement the Politburo's decision on personnel work.
At the conference, Mr. Le Minh Hung - Head of the Central Organizing Committee presented the Politburo's decision on the transfer and assignment of Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh.
The Politburo has decided to remove Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Secretary of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee, from the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and from the position of Secretary of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; to transfer, assign, and appoint him to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and to hold the position of Secretary of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh came to hold the position of Khanh Hoa Party Secretary to replace Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh after Mr. Ninh was approved by the National Assembly to hold the position of Minister of Justice at the 8th Extraordinary Session (August 2024).
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Le Minh Hung - Head of the Central Organizing Committee assessed that Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh is a well-trained official, having worked in many positions at the central and local levels.
Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh is evaluated by the Government as a cadre who always completes important tasks well and excellently, contributing to the achievements and results of the agency and locality where he works.
Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh (born in 1969), from Yen Lac district, Vinh Phuc province, PhD in economics. In July 2021, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Thanh was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of the Hau Giang Provincial Party Committee.
Before becoming Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietcombank, he held the positions of Deputy General Director of VietinBank, Chief of Office of the State Bank, and General Director of Vietcombank. He is a member of the 13th Party Central Committee.
