At the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ngai province, term XIII, 2021–2026, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Ngai province, term XIV, 2026–2031.
The session has the meaning of opening the entire term. This is a step to establish an organizational foundation and orient the activities of the Provincial People's Council in the new period. The delegates considered and decided to establish the Boards of the Provincial People's Council. At the same time, they proceeded to elect key positions of the People's Council and the People's Committee and elected People's Court Assessors according to regulations.
A noteworthy content is the approval of the plan to organize regular meetings in 2026. This is the basis for the Provincial People's Council to proactively implement the work program, ensure supervision activities, and decide on important issues of the locality.
With a result of 66/66 votes in favor, reaching a rate of 100%, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuy was trusted to be elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Council. He was born in 1973, from Gia Lai province. High-level political theory qualifications, PhD in Economics.
Speaking to receive the assignment, Mr. Nguyen Duc Tuy committed to promoting the spirit of solidarity and responsibility. In his new position, he will work with the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council to strive to improve the quality of activities, fully perform functions and tasks in accordance with legal regulations. The focus is on enhancing the effectiveness of supervision, and promptly deciding on socio-economic development, national defense and security issues of the province.
