Vietnam Trade and Industry Union honors women who are "Good at state affairs, good at housework

On March 17, in Quang Ninh, the Vietnam Trade and Industry Union organized a conference to summarize the emulation movement "Good at state affairs, good at housework" for the period 2020–2025.

Attending the conference were Ms. Do Hong Van, Member of the Presidium, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the VGCL and outstanding collectives and individuals in the emulation movement "Good at work, good at home".

Mr. Le An Hai - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Chairman of the Vietnam Trade and Industry Union said that the emulation movement "Good at state affairs, good at housework" launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour has become a widespread movement among female cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers nationwide. The movement not only affirms the role and position of women in professional work and production labor but also honors the great contributions of women in building a prosperous, progressive, and happy family.

In recent years, the movement "Good at work - Good at home" has become a traditional beauty among female workers and civil servants, contributing to enhancing the position and role of women in all fields of work, society and family. The phrase "Good at work - Good at home" has full meaning, posing for female workers and civil servants in the renovation period, to be both "good" and "good" to be able to shoulder new tasks in the new period.

The achievements of the Industry and Trade sector have the great contribution of female workers and employees, who are an important labor force for growth and development of the country; women in the Industry and Trade sector are increasingly affirming their role and position in political life and leadership and management, increasingly improving both in quantity and quality, present in all fields, especially pioneering on the front of scientific and technological research and innovation.

In the field of scientific and technological research, the female intellectual force is increasingly developing, many women have achieved success both domestically and internationally, recognized through noble awards. With the responsibility of "Taking care of housework", they are not only family managers, caring for and raising children but also people who preserve, maintain, and promote traditional culture, build good values, creating a solid rear for society.

Through the movement, many exemplary female cadres and union members have appeared; many effective initiatives and solutions have been applied in work and production; many exemplary families have been built, actively contributing to the overall development of agencies, units and the Sector.

In 5 years, nearly 90% of female workers and employees achieved the title "Good at state affairs, good at housework" at all levels; Vietnam National Union of Industry and Trade commends and rewards 30 typical female heads of departments; 5 Flags for collectives; Certificates of Merit for 26 collectives and 59 individuals.

The VGCL awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 individuals, including 1 individual who achieved outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Good at work - Good at home" in the period 2020-2025; many collectives and individuals of female workers and employees were commended and awarded the title of Emulation Soldier and other noble awards by the Party, State, Ministry, sector and Trade Union organization.

At the conference, the Vietnam National Union of Industry and Trade commended and rewarded 30 typical female heads of departments; 5 Flags for collectives; Certificates of Merit for 26 collectives and 59 individuals.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Do Hong Van, Member of the Presidium, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, assessed that the female officials honored by the Vietnam Trade and Industry Union today are all typical, progressive, civilized, and knowledgeable women from fields such as: Production and business, teaching, scientific research... with many scientific topics, creative initiatives bringing high economic value, applied in life...

In the context of the country promoting digital transformation and innovation, Ms. Do Hong Van hopes that the female labor force of the Industry and Trade sector will continue to promote the spirit of good labor, creative labor and building happy families; strive to seize opportunities, adapt to change, actively innovate, play an important role in digital transformation, be a force to promote the digital transformation process; self-improve their qualifications, knowledge and skills; take care of their health both physically and mentally...

Wishing you not only to successfully complete the assigned tasks but also to be aware of preserving family happiness, raising children in a beneficial way for society, being a role model to spread and inspire all union members and workers.
