On April 10, the Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee issued a notice of the conclusion of Comrade Tran Luu Quang, Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, on a number of key tasks that need to be focused on leading and directing the implementation in the coming time.
Mr. Le Quoc Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, was assigned to preside over and direct the advising of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee to establish the City Development Research Steering Committee. Mr. Phong also directed a comprehensive assessment of the results of implementing Resolution 31-NQ/TW of the Politburo; directed the development of the draft Law on Special Urban Areas and related guiding decrees.
Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, was assigned to focus on directing and ensuring the progress of starting construction of key projects and works on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026).
Mr. Nguyen Van Duoc was also assigned to accelerate the implementation of the project to build and expand the "Ho Chi Minh Space" in the Ho Chi Minh Museum - Ho Chi Minh City Branch area, ensuring completion before September 2, 2026. He also directed the review and re-assignment of tasks of the Vice Chairmen of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in a specialized direction, throughout each specific field, avoiding overlap in functions and tasks.
Research and implement policies to exempt bus tickets and exempt seaport infrastructure for people and businesses; focus on removing obstacles and backlogs in land management and use.
Mr. Vo Van Minh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, was assigned to monitor, supervise, and urge functional agencies to review and focus on definitively handling investment projects that are stagnant and prolonged in the city in 2026.
He is also assigned to direct and supervise the implementation of the Project on urban embellishment, house areas on and along rivers, canals, and ditches in Ho Chi Minh City in the period 2025-2030, ensuring efficiency, meeting requirements and the set progress.
Mr. Nguyen Phuoc Loc - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, was assigned to direct, urge, and supervise the investment in building school facilities, supplementing the teaching staff at all levels, towards the goal of ensuring sufficient classrooms for students by the 2027 - 2028 school year, absolutely not allowing the situation of 3rd-shift schooling to occur in the city.
He also monitors, directs, and supervises the housing and accommodation program for workers to rent; the implementation of the city's policies on community health care and the health of the elderly.
Mr. Dang Minh Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, was assigned to direct relevant agencies to advise the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee to issue a directive on the management and effective exploitation of public housing and land funds, ensuring the principle of "clear people, clear tasks, clear responsibilities, clear completion time"...
Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet - Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee continued to direct the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of the City Party Committee to urgently accelerate the progress of advising and building the Project on arranging the city's press.
She also directed the Organization Committee of the City Party Committee to study and establish 2 party committees directly under the City Party Committee, including the Party Committees of universities and the Party Committees of health units; continue to focus on reviewing, updating, and supplementing cadre planning to serve direction and administration work and meet personnel requirements for the next term.
