On the morning of October 10, in Hanoi, the National Assembly Standing Committee held a ceremony to announce and hand over the Resolution on personnel work for the position of Deputy Chairman of the National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Committee.
According to Resolution No. 1861, the National Assembly Standing Committee resolved to approve full-time delegate Tran Duc Thuan to hold the position of Deputy Chairman of the National Defense, Security and External Affairs Committee of the 15th National Assembly.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Tran Quang Phuong stated that in each position, Mr. Tran Duc Thuan has always fulfilled his assigned tasks well, demonstrating his professional qualifications, capacity and political courage.
The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that Mr. Tran Duc Thuan continue to promote his strengths, abilities, working experience, innovation, and creativity in advising and serving the activities of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, and the Standing Committee of the National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs Committee.
Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the National Defense, Security and External Affairs Committee Tran Duc Thuan affirmed that in his new position, he will strictly comply with the leadership of the Party, the direction and administration of the National Assembly leaders.

Mr. Tran Duc Thuan (born in 1968, hometown Nghe An province), with a Master's degree in Law. Before his appointment, Mr. Tran Duc Thuan was a full-time National Assembly delegate at the National Defense, Security and External Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, under the National Assembly delegation of Nghe An province.
