In the letter, Mr. Tran Huy Tuan wrote: In recent days, in Yen Bai province, due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Yagi), it has caused extremely serious consequences in terms of human life and property, greatly affecting people's lives and production and business activities.
Along with the damage to agriculture and many works, infrastructure, transportation, industry, health, education, and communications, the whole province had over 25,000 houses damaged, of which thousands of houses were completely collapsed and severely damaged.
Yen Bai province has mobilized the entire political system, social community and people of all walks of life to overcome the consequences of floods, but the large amount of mud, garbage, soil and rocks on roads, residential areas and households has made cleaning difficult, posing a potential risk of environmental pollution, affecting people's lives and health.
During that difficult time, Yen Bai received the sharing, help, support and companionship of other provinces, international friends, the business community, organizations, individuals and the social community with noble gestures showing national love, compatriot love, humanity, benevolence, humanity and love.
In particular, in recent days, a volunteer group of Oxalis Adventure Phong Nha - Quang Binh Company with 60 members traveled a long distance to Yen Bai, helping Yen Bai city residents clean up and stabilize their lives.
“Yen Bai province would like to express its sincere gratitude to the Oxalis Adventure Phong Nha - Quang Binh volunteer group for their noble gesture, which has given the Party Committee, government, and people of all ethnic groups in the province strength to overcome difficulties, quickly overcome the consequences of natural disasters, stabilize people's lives, and stabilize production and business activities in the area,” said Mr. Tran Huy Tuan.
It is known that the volunteer group from Quang Binh has stayed for many days to help people in Yen Bai city clean up the environment. The members of the group are all men - selected from those in good health - have worked at full capacity, not afraid of any difficulties, from picking up trash, shoveling mud, supporting people to clean up, arranging belongings to stabilize their lives.
More touchingly, at 2am on September 18, the group returned to Quang Binh to prepare with their hometown to respond to storm number 4 which was moving very quickly towards the central region of our country.
