On December 11, in Dong Hoi City, the 19th session of the 18th term People's Council of Quang Binh province, term 2021-2026, elected the Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province.
At this session, Mr. Tran Phong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020 - 2025 term was elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province for the 2021 - 2026 term, with 44 delegates attending the conference voting 100% in favor.
Previously, on December 10, the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee held a conference to carry out personnel work. The conference agreed with the personnel introduction report of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to elect Mr. Tran Phong as Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Also at this session, the People's Council of Quang Binh province passed a resolution to dismiss Mr. Tran Thang - former Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province - from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Binh province for the 2021-2026 term and to cease his duties as a delegate of the People's Council of Quang Binh province due to his transfer to a new unit. Mr. Tran Thang was assigned and transferred by the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc.
