Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 766/QD-TTg approving the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai Province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
Previously, the People's Council of Quang Ngai Province, term XIII for the 2021-2026 term, held the 26th session (Special Session) to carry out personnel work under its authority.
At the session, all 45 delegates present unanimously elected Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang as Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai Province.
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang (born in 1971), hailing from Hai Phong City, currently resides in Tay Ho District, Hanoi City. Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Bachelor's degree in Political Theory.
During his career, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang has held important positions such as: Deputy Director of Hai Phong Department of Trade, Deputy Director of Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade; Deputy Head of the Economic Department - Office of the Central Party Committee, Head of Department, Secretary to a Politburo Member; Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh Province.
In June 2020, the Prime Minister decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang as Deputy Minister of Science and Technology.
On July 31, 2024, the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the decision of the Party Central Committee's Secretariat on personnel work.
Accordingly, the Secretariat decided to relieve Mr. Giang from his position as a member of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Science and Technology; transfer and appoint Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
