The 27th meeting of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity took place at the Party Central Committee Headquarters this morning (December 31).

Also attending the meeting were Politburo members: Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission Phan Dinh Trac; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien... Also attending were members of the Steering Committee.

Previously, on the morning of October 30, General Secretary To Lam chaired a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity.

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee announced the Politburo's Decision on adding functions and tasks on waste prevention and control to the Central Steering Committee on Corruption and Negativity Prevention and Control to promote the work of corruption prevention and control, waste prevention and control; and at the same time announced the Decision on the reorganization of the Steering Committee. Accordingly, the Steering Committee is called the Central Steering Committee on Corruption Prevention and Control, waste prevention and control.

Also at this meeting, the General Secretary requested to strengthen the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity in conjunction with accelerating and making breakthroughs in socio-economic development, completing the goals of the 13th National Congress Resolution.

Inspect, examine and audit areas with high risks and public opinion on corruption, waste and negativity; promptly resolve cases of public concern and public concern, but minimize impacts on the normal operations of agencies and businesses.

Continue to effectively implement the Politburo's Conclusion on removing difficulties and obstacles in land projects in inspection, examination and judgment conclusions. Effectively deploy the amended Laws to remove bottlenecks and the Resolution on piloting the mechanism for handling evidence in the investigation, prosecution and trial stages after being approved by the National Assembly, contributing to unblocking resources, putting assets into circulation, avoiding loss and waste, and promoting socio-economic development. Continue to implement solutions to improve the effectiveness of recovering corrupt assets.

Effectively carry out the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity to serve the implementation of Directive 35 of the Politburo on organizing Party Congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress. Speed ​​up the investigation and final handling of serious and complicated corruption, waste, and negativity cases and incidents that are of public concern.
