On the afternoon of October 3, Party Central Committee member, Vice President, Chairwoman of the Provision Council of the Vietnam Children's Support Fund Vo Thi Anh Xuan visited and presented Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children being treated at Can Tho City Oncology Hospital.

At the General Surgery Department of the Hospital, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan kindly visited and encouraged the health and spirit of the children and their families. Witnessing the extraordinary strength of children struggling with the disease day and night, the Vice President expressed his deep emotion.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan and the working delegation visited and directly presented gifts to 30 children with oncology. Each gift includes 2 million VND in cash and a bag of candy worth 300,000 VND.

The Party, the State and the whole society always pay special attention to the work of protecting, caring for and educating children, especially those in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses. Today's Mid-Autumn Festival gift is expected by the working group to give children more motivation to overcome challenges, soon return to their families, schools and realize their beautiful dreams.

The Vice President also praised the team of doctors and medical staff who have made every effort, overcome difficulties to care for and treat the children, contributing to the cause of protecting children in the Mekong Delta.
Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan suggested that the Can Tho health sector continue to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, especially in the field of pediatrics and oncology; calling on organizations and individuals to continue to join hands and contribute to have more resources to support unfortunate circumstances.

Every year, Can Tho City Oncology Hospital receives more than 550 pediatric patients, of which, about 100 children of different ages are managed and treated.
On the same evening, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan attended the Mid-Autumn Festival fun program for children in Long Phu commune, Can Tho; presented Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children in special circumstances and difficulties in the locality.
