On the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, on the afternoon of February 20, a Government delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung visited, wished Tet, and presented gifts to officials and workers who are constructing projects serving the APEC High-Level Week; and at the same time offered flowers to the Ho Chi Minh Statue and incense at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House (in Phu Quoc special zone, An Giang province).
Immediately after that, the working delegation visited, wished Tet and presented gifts to officials, engineers, and workers who were constructing at the Phu Quoc International Airport and APEC Conference Center Project sites.
Here, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung cordially inquired about the construction situation and living conditions of the labor force at the construction site; acknowledged and praised the spirit of responsibility and efforts of the construction units to overcome difficulties, organize overtime and increase shifts to ensure progress.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested investors and contractors to continue to commit to implementing on schedule, ensuring project quality and labor safety; determined to complete items on schedule, successfully serving the APEC High-Level Week in Phu Quoc. At the same time, he requested leaders of An Giang province to continue to pay attention and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for contractors, creating favorable conditions for projects to be implemented effectively.
On the occasion of the New Year, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung presented many Tet gifts, encouraging officials and employees to strive to construct throughout Tet.
On this occasion, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Nhan, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of An Giang province also presented gifts, shared, and encouraged the construction force to strive to complete ahead of schedule, contributing to the successful organization of APEC High-Level Week, promoting local socio-economic development.
