On September 11, the Office of the Government announced that Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had just signed Decision 942/QD-TTg to establish the Central Steering Committee for the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census.
Accordingly, the Head of Direction is Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government Nguyen Hoa Binh.
Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee include: Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung (Permanent Deputy Head of the Committee); Directorate Directorate Statistics Nguyen Thi Huong.
Members of the Steering Committee include: Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Hoang Cong Thuy; Deputy Minister of Finance Vo Thanh Hung; Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Nguyen Hoang Hiep; Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Le Minh Ngan; Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Bui Hoang Phuong; Vice Chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union Nguyen Xuan Dinh; Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance Cao Xuan Thu Van; Deputy Directorate of the Directorate of Statistics Nguyen Trung Tien.
The Steering Committee has the function of reviewing and deciding on the plan, schedule and detailed content of the Rural and Agricultural Census; promulgating the plan for the Rural and Agricultural Census in 2025.
At the same time, the Minister of Planning and Investment, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee, was assigned to sign the decision to promulgate the plan for the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census and delegate the Deputy Head (Directorate of Statistics) to sign a document providing professional guidance and organizing the implementation of the plan for the 2025 Rural and Agricultural Census.
The Steering Committee works part-time, is organized and operates according to the regulations attached to this decision and is self-dissolved after completing its tasks.
