Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 1253/QD-TTg dated October 24, 2024 on completing the members of the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform.
Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Hoa Binh, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, is the Deputy Head of the Central Economic Commission, replacing Mr. Tran Luu Quang, former Deputy Prime Minister of the Government, who was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Head of the Central Economic Commission.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh, Minister of Justice, is a member of the Steering Committee replacing Mr. Le Thanh Long, former Minister of Justice, who was approved to be appointed to the position of Deputy Prime Minister of the Government.
At the same time, the decision was made to add Mr. Do Duc Duy, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, as a member of the Steering Committee.
Major General Le Quoc Hung, Deputy Minister of Public Security, is a member of the Steering Committee replacing Lieutenant General Nguyen Duy Ngoc, former Deputy Minister of Public Security, who was assigned to hold the position of Chief of Office of the Party Central Committee.
The above Decision takes effect from October 24, 2024.
According to Decision 110/QD-TTg dated January 28, 2024 of the Prime Minister on the consolidation of the Government's Steering Committee for Administrative Reform, the Steering Committee is responsible for researching and proposing important policies, initiatives and solutions to promote the Government's administrative reform.
Provide comments on the long-term administrative reform program and plan and the annual operation plan of the Steering Committee submitted to the Government by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Assist the Prime Minister in directing, harmonizing and coordinating ministries, branches and localities in implementing administrative reform tasks, reviewing the contents of important administrative reform projects of the Government, draft resolutions and decrees of the Government, decisions and directives of the Prime Minister with main contents related to administrative reform before submitting them to the Government and the Prime Minister for consideration and decision.
Assist the Prime Minister in urging, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of administrative reform programs and plans, and the implementation of goals, tasks and solutions on administrative reform.
Summarize, conclude, and evaluate the situation and results of implementing key tasks and solutions on administrative reform, and propose directions and solutions to promote administrative reform.
