On October 29, Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Head of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee Tran Hong Ha directly inspected and directed the work to overcome serious landslides on the La Son - Hoa Lien Expressway.
At the scene, the technical force determined that many positive slopes were eroded, a large amount of rock and soil spilled onto the road, causing congestion and posing a potential risk to traffic safety.
The Deputy Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to isolate, block off, and urgently divert traffic, while mobilizing maximum machinery and human resources to quickly overcome the situation, ensuring safe and smooth traffic.

He emphasized: "Reponds must be given the highest priority, ensuring the safety of people's lives and smooth traffic routes".
The Deputy Prime Minister directed the People's Committee of Hue City to closely coordinate with relevant agencies to monitor areas at risk of landslides, especially in passes, high slopes, bridges and spillways.
Faced with the possibility of heavy rain in the coming time, the Deputy Prime Minister requested functional forces to inspect electricity, telecommunications, urban transport infrastructure, ensure information, provide stable electricity and support people in deeply flooded areas in all emergency situations.
On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha visited and encouraged the team of doctors and patients at the Hue City Rehabilitation Hospital - which is still heavily affected by the major flood.

The Deputy Prime Minister acknowledged the hospital's proactive spirit in safely moving 27 patients from facility 2 to facility 1 during the time of rising flood waters, with the support of the government and armed forces. Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha emphasized: "Do not leave any sick people behind in the danger zone".
