On October 29, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha, leaders of Da Nang city and Military Region 5 inspected flood prevention and control work in Da Nang city. In the afternoon, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha and the working delegation inspected the flooded area in Dien Ban Dong area and the landslide at An Bang sea.
At noon on October 29, the Deputy Prime Minister had a working session with the People's Committee of Da Nang City on the flood situation in the area.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested Da Nang to continue ensuring food for the people. After the water recedes, localities proactively spray disinfectants and treat the environment.
The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that Da Nang continue to inspect and survey key areas such as Hoi An, eroded coastal areas and 28 mountainous communes. The survey and assessment must be combined between ministries and research institutes to build a long-term response model. This includes irrigation, mountainous and coastal traffic, and determining places that can be renovated or should be avoided according to natural law.

According to the report of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, from the afternoon of October 25 until now, the city has had heavy to very heavy rain, with total rainfall in many localities over 1,000 mm. More than 66,000 homes were flooded.
The whole city currently has 10 communes and wards completely isolated; 29 communes and wards are heavily flooded. Localities have evacuated 4,835 households/15,886 people from deeply flooded and dangerous landslides. Relocation work has been implemented safely and promptly; temporary accommodation has been arranged and necessary necessities have been supported.

The operation and regulation of hydroelectric reservoirs during this flood has contributed to reducing floods downstream; has used the maximum flood prevention capacity in hydroelectric reservoirs to reduce floods.
To date, in Da Nang, 6 people have died, 4 people are missing, and 11 people are injured. There have been 13 houses collapsed, 44 houses were damaged. 1,880 m of traffic roads were damaged; landslides on slopes, rocks and soil with a volume of 62,845 m3.
