On the morning of October 29, when the rain had not stopped, in Hai Chau ward (Da Nang city), members of the Charity and Protection of Children's Rights Association of Nu Cuoi Tre Tho were busy preparing hundreds of meals to send to people in flooded areas.
Since morning, many freelance workers, shippers, office workers... took advantage of the little time together to cook rice, divide the portion, collect each box of cakes, bottle of milk, and instant noodles. The bustling charity kitchen atmosphere amid the pouring rain, everyone rushed to catch the relief truck.
According to the plan, more than 700 meals including rice, feed, cakes, milk and water will be moved this afternoon to areas that are deeply flooded. Each box of rice, each bottle of water is not only a source of warm energy in the rain and flood, but also a word of encouragement, a helping hand shared from kind-hearted people in the city.

Mr. Tran Cong Minh - a resident of Hoa Khanh ward (Da Nang city) said that when he read information on Facebook about a volunteer group cooking rice to give to people in flooded areas, he took the initiative to cook rice to contribute to everyone.
As a shipper, Mr. Minh took advantage of the short time between shipping trips to prepare white rice.
"I cooked a rice pot and shipped it, then returned to see the rice cooked and cooked another pot. After finishing the trip in the late morning, I brought both rice cookers to the volunteer group to be on time to leave, he said.
In the midst of the flood, the small but warm actions of Mr. Minh and many other hearts have contributed more warmth and spread love to those in difficulty.

Ms. Huynh Thi Hong Nga - a member of the Charity and Protection Association for Children's Rights of Nu Cuoi Tre Tho said that on the morning of October 29, the group received a lot of rice and gifts voluntarily brought by people to support people in flooded areas.
Today, we have prepared about 700 - 1,000 meals of white rice, with lemongrass shrimp meat, dried fish and essential necessities to serve people during the rising flood water period, Ms. Nga shared.
According to Ms. Nga, all the gifts will be sent to people in Ai Nghia, Dai Loc and some isolated areas. Currently, the roads to many places are still rising rapidly, so the group is packing carefully, transporting them to the gathering point, then a canoe group will receive and bring the rice to the people.
During the days of heavy rain, floods... in Da Nang, there are still countless hearts that quietly light up the warmth of love. From sharing rice cookers, busy in the small kitchen, to canoes crossing floods carrying affection - all create a round of love in the midst of storms and thunderstorms.
