On February 23, in Hanoi, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army (VPA) held the first handover conference of Binh Ngo Spring 2026.
At the conference, delegates focused on summarizing the situation and results of Party work and political work during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
Accordingly, during Tet 2026, Party work and political work in the entire army are deployed synchronously and closely, contributing to maintaining ideological stability, ensuring security, safety, combat readiness and serving the people to enjoy spring and celebrate Tet.
Speaking at the conference, General Nguyen Trong Nghia - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Central Military Commission, Head of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army - acknowledged and praised the spirit of responsibility, efforts, and proactiveness of agencies and units in the past time.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that Binh Ngo Spring 2026 is a spring of special significance, when the 14th Party Congress just took place very successfully; the country enters a new stage of development with higher requirements, aspirations and responsibilities.
In that context, the good organization of Party work and political work right from the early days of the year is of great significance, contributing to maintaining ideological stability, creating a spirit of emulation, consolidating belief and determination to complete tasks throughout the army.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia said that during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, Party and political work activities have been comprehensively and synchronously deployed, closely following reality, and strongly oriented towards grassroots levels. All are organized thoughtfully and responsibly, leaving a positive impression in the hearts of the people.
Many unexpected and arising tasks have been handled promptly and effectively, clearly showing the bravery, sense of responsibility and affection of the Army towards the people.
General Nguyen Trong Nghia clearly stated that the highlight is that Party work and political work have clearly promoted the leading role, maintaining the Party's ideological battlefield in the Army, contributing to building high unity in will and action.
The image of Uncle Ho's soldiers continues to be spread by specific and practical actions, associated with the lives of the people, especially at the grassroots level, remote areas, border areas, and islands. This is an important foundation for the Army to successfully complete the functions of a combat army, a working army, and a production labor army.
From those results, General Nguyen Trong Nghia requested agencies and units in the General Department of Politics to continue to thoroughly grasp the spirit of the 14th Party Congress; strongly shift from awareness to action, from slogans to specific actions.
In leadership, direction and organization of task implementation, it is necessary to promote the responsibility of the head, strictly implement the motto "say less, do more", "6 clear"; take practical efficiency as a measure; avoid formality, generality, and spreading out.
Party work and political work must go first, lay the foundation, and play a comprehensive role, ensuring that the Army is always politically, ideologically, and organizationally steadfast.
