Speaking at the meeting, General Secretary and President To Lam emphasized that Quang Tri is a land of heroic history, rich in revolutionary traditions, with indomitable and loyal people who always have a strong will and aspiration to rise up.
The General Secretary and President highly appreciated the socio-economic achievements that the Party Committee, government, businesses and people of Quang Tri province have achieved in recent times.
The Party Committee, provincial government and people have united, agreed and actively implemented the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, issued many thematic resolutions, conclusions, directives, action programs and implementation plans.
The growth rate is faster than the national average, the economic structure is shifting in the right direction, and people's income is increasingly improving.
General Secretary and President To Lam also pointed out the potential and advantages of Quang Tri, especially the convenience of transportation, North-South connection, East-West connection; the locality has potential for energy development, especially clean energy; land is favorable for investment in industrial development.
Despite many positive results, the General Secretary and President also assessed that in the development process, Quang Tri province still faces many difficulties and challenges due to its location in a difficult, mountainous area, harsh weather, frequent natural disasters and droughts; and is greatly affected by climate change and rising sea levels...
In that situation, to achieve the set goals and tasks, General Secretary and President To Lam requested Quang Tri to continue to do well in Party building, building a streamlined, clean, strong political system that operates effectively and efficiently.
