On November 17, the People's Council of Quang Tri province held the 4th session of the 8th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.
At the session, the People's Council of Quang Tri province elected Mr. Le Van Bao - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee, term 2021-2026.
Mr. Le Van Bao, 56 years old, from Le Thuy commune, Quang Tri province; Master of Political Economics, Senior Political Theory.
Mr. Le Van Bao has held many positions in the locality such as: Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Le Thuy district; Vice Chairman of the District People's Council, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, then Chairman of the People's Committee of Le Thuy district. After that, he held the position of District Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Council of Le Thuy District, Head of the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the Quang Binh Provincial Party Committee.
From July 2025 to present, after the merger between Quang Tri and Quang Binh, Mr. Le Van Bao has held the position of Chief of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Office.
At this session, the People's Council of Quang Tri province elected Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee as Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.
The People's Council of Quang Tri province has also considered dismissing Mr. Tran Phong from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for transferring jobs.
