According to the press release, on the morning of April 6, the National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the draft Resolution on the number of members of the 16th National Assembly Standing Committee by electronic voting system.
As a result, 491 delegates participated in the voting, of which 491 delegates agreed (equal to 100% of National Assembly delegates (NA delegates) present and equal to 98.2% of the total number of NA delegates);
The National Assembly listened to Vice Chairman of the 15th National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, on behalf of the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee, present 2 proposals on personnel for the National Assembly to elect the Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, and Member of the 16th National Assembly Standing Committee.
After that, the National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the draft Resolution on personnel for the National Assembly to elect the Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, and Member of the 16th National Assembly Standing Committee by electronic voting system.
As a result, 492 delegates participated in the voting, of which 492 delegates agreed (equal to 100% of NA deputies present and equal to 98.4% of the total number of NA deputies).
The National Assembly discussed and voted to pass the Resolution to elect the 16th National Assembly Chairman by electronic voting system. As a result, 491 delegates participated in the vote, of which 491 delegates agreed (equal to 100% of NA deputies present and equal to 98.2% of the total number of NA deputies).
At 11:05 am, under the direction of Vice Chairman of the 15th National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh, Chairman of the 16th National Assembly Tran Thanh Man conducted the oath-taking and inauguration speech.
In the afternoon of the same day, the National Assembly discussed and voted to pass the above-mentioned draft Resolutions using the electronic voting system.
The results are as follows:
(1) Regarding the Resolution electing Vice Chairman of the 16th National Assembly, 496 delegates participated in the voting, of which 496 delegates agreed (equal to 100% of National Assembly deputies present and equal to 99.2% of the total number of National Assembly deputies).
Accordingly, the list of Vice Chairmen of the 16th National Assembly includes the following men/women: Mr. Do Van Chien; Mr. Nguyen Khac Dinh; Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh; Mr. Nguyen Hong Dien; Mr. Nguyen Doan Anh; Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong.
(2) Regarding the Resolution on election of members of the 16th National Assembly Standing Committee, 487 delegates participated in the voting, of which 487 delegates agreed (equal to 100% of NA deputies present and equal to 97.4% of the total number of NA deputies).
(iii) Listening to Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee Nguyen Huu Dong, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, present the Resolutions on approving the Heads of the 16th National Assembly Delegation. After that, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man presented the Resolutions to the Heads of the 16th National Assembly Delegations.
(iv) Listening to Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee Nguyen Huu Dong, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, present 3 submissions on personnel for election of Chairman of the Ethnic Council, Chairman of the Committee of the 16th National Assembly; Secretary General of the 16th National Assembly - Chairman of the National Assembly Office; State Auditor General for the 2026-2031 term.
After that, the National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the draft Resolutions to elect the above-mentioned positions by electronic voting system. As a result, 493 delegates participated in the voting, of which 493 delegates agreed (equal to 100% of NA deputies present and equal to 98.6% of the total number of NA deputies).
Next, the National Assembly elected the positions of Chairman of the Ethnic Council, Chairman of the Committee of the 16th National Assembly, Secretary General of the 16th National Assembly - Chairman of the National Assembly Office, State Auditor General for the 2026-2031 term by secret ballot. The National Assembly listened to the Ballot counting board report on the vote counting results.
(v) Listening to Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee Le Quang Manh, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, present 3 draft Resolutions to elect the Chairman of the Ethnic Council, Chairman of the Committee of the 16th National Assembly, Secretary General of the 16th National Assembly - Chairman of the National Assembly Office, State Auditor General for the 2026-2031 term.
After that, the National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the draft Resolutions to elect the above-mentioned positions by electronic voting system.

- Regarding the Resolution to elect the Chairman of the Ethnic Council, Chairman of the Committee of the 16th National Assembly, 493 delegates participated in the voting, of which 493 delegates agreed (equal to 100% of National Assembly deputies present and equal to 98.6% of the total number of National Assembly deputies).
Accordingly, the list of Chairmen of the Ethnic Council, Chairmen of the Committees of the 16th National Assembly includes the following names: Mr. Lam Van Man - Chairman of the Ethnic Council of the National Assembly; Mr. Phan Chi Hieu - Chairman of the Law and Justice Committee of the National Assembly; Mr. Phan Van Mai - Chairman of the Economic and Finance Committee of the National Assembly; Mr. Le Tan Toi - Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for National Defense, Security and Foreign Affairs; Mr. Nguyen Dac Vinh - Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Culture and Society; Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee for Science, Technology and Environment; Mr. Nguyen Huu Dong - Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Deputy Affairs; Ms. Le Thi Nga - Chairwoman of the National Assembly's Committee for Petitions and Supervision.
- Regarding the Resolution electing the Secretary General of the 16th National Assembly - Chairman of the National Assembly Office, 481 delegates participated in the voting, of which 481 delegates agreed (equal to 100% of National Assembly deputies present and equal to 96.2% of the total number of National Assembly deputies).
Accordingly, Mr. Le Quang Manh was elected to hold the position of Secretary General of the 16th National Assembly - Chairman of the National Assembly Office.
- Regarding the Resolution to elect the State Auditor General for the 2026-2031 term, 485 delegates participated in the voting, of which 485 delegates agreed (equal to 100% of NA deputies present and equal to 97% of the total number of NA deputies).
Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia was elected to hold the position of State Auditor General for the term 2026-2031.
