The fire occurred at about 3:15 pm on April 6, at a sawdust processing factory on Vinh Tan 34 street, group 03, neighborhood 2, Vinh Tan ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
Upon receiving the news, Ho Chi Minh City Police dispatched many specialized fire trucks and dozens of officers and soldiers to the scene to put out the fire.
At the scene, the burned workshop has an area of about 700m2. Inside, there is a lot of sawdust and smoke billowing.

The fire caused 3 people to be burned and hospitalized, including: Mr. N.V.S (born in 1991, from Can Tho city); Mr. T.T. T (born in 2002, from Can Tho city) and Ms. V.T. M (born in 1986, from Nghe An). All 3 victims are being treated at Binh Duong General Hospital.

The police agency is working with relevant parties to determine the damage and investigate the cause of the fire.
