Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Standing Secretary of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu awarded the Second-class Fatherland Protection Medal to comrades: Senior Lieutenant General Do Xuan Tung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Le Van Huong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army; Lieutenant General Tran Minh Duc, Director of the General Department of Logistics and Technology; Lieutenant General Tran Cong Chinh, Director General of General Department II.

Speaking to congratulate the comrades who received the Independence Medal, Military Service Medal, and Fatherland Protection Medal, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that this is a particularly respectful recognition of the Party, State and People for the great, persistent, outstanding, and particularly outstanding contributions of the comrades in the cause of building and protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
The medals awarded today are noble rewards that the Party and State have affirmed and recognized the merits, intelligence, bravery, responsibility and dedication of cadres who have devoted their whole mind and strength to the revolutionary cause.
That is the honor of the bright qualities and ethics of comrades who are always absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, to the Party, to the People; always steadfast in the face of all challenges; always putting national and ethnic interests first and foremost.
The General Secretary stated clearly that today's Medal Ceremony is not only an opportunity to honor outstanding contributions, but also an opportunity to affirm something of profound significance: all victories of our country's revolution originate from the correct leadership of the Party, from the strength of great national unity, from the indomitable will of the People, from the dedication and effort of the contingent of cadres and party members, especially those who hold important responsibilities before the Party, before the State, and before the People.
