Regulating the number and structure of the ratio of Court Judges

The National Assembly Standing Committee has issued a Resolution regulating the ranks and conditions for each rank, the promotion and number, and the ratio of Court Judges.

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man has signed and issued Resolution No. 67/2025/UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee stipulating the rank and conditions for each rank, the promotion and number, and the structure of the ratio of Judges of the People's Court.

The Resolution decides that the Judges of the People's Court levels include: Judges of the People's Court level 1; Judges of the People's Court level 2; Judges of the People's Court level 3.

The total number of Judges of the People's Courts of People's Courts at all levels is 7,004 people. The number and structure of the ratio of Judges of the People's Courts of the People's Courts are as follows:

The Supreme People's Court has Judges of the People's Court level 1, Judges of the People's Court level 2, Judges of the People's Court level 3.

The number of People's Court Judges working at the Supreme People's Court is 50 people, of which the ratio of Judges of the People's Court at level 3 does not exceed 40%, Judges of the People's Court at level 2 does not exceed 30%, the rest are Judges of the People's Court at level 1;

The High People's Court has Judges of the People's Court level 3, with a total of 170 people;

The People's Court at the provincial level and the People's Court at the specialised first instance have Judges of the People's Court level 2 and Judges of the People's Court level 3.

The number of judges of the People's Court of the People's Court at the provincial level is 1,235 people, of which the ratio of judges of the People's Court at level 3 does not exceed 30%, the rest are judges of the People's Court at level 2;

District People's Courts have Judges of the People's Court level 1 and Judges of the People's Court level 2.

The number of judges of the People's Court of the District People's Court is 5,549 people, of which the ratio of judges of the People's Court of level 2 does not exceed 30%, the rest is judges of the People's Court of level 1.

The total number of Judges of the People's Courts of the Military Courts is 129 people. The number and structure of the ratio of Judges of the People's Court of the Military Courts are as follows:

The Central Military Court has Judges of the People's Court level 3, the number of whom is 15 people;

The Military Court of the Military Region and equivalent has Judges of the People's Court of Level 2, Judges of the People's Court of Level 3.

The number of Judges of the People's Court of the Military Region and equivalent is 54 people, of which the ratio of Judges of the People's Court of level 3 does not exceed 30%, the rest are Judges of the People's Court of level 2;

The regional military court has Judges of the People's Court level 1, Judges of the People's Court level 2.

The number of Judges of the People's Court of the Military Court of the region is 60 people, of which the ratio of Judges of the People's Court of level 2 does not exceed 30%, the rest is Judges of the People's Court of level 1.

This Resolution takes effect from February 6, 2025.
