Accordingly, in Resolution No. 167/2024/QH15, the National Assembly resolved to: Approve the proposal of the Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court on the appointment of Judges of the Supreme People's Court for Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan and Mr. Le Tien.
Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan has held the following positions: Deputy Commander of the Mobile Police Command (Ministry of Public Security); Director of Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Police; Deputy Secretary and then Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Thua Thien-Hue Provincial Party Committee. Since July 2021, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Doan has been Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.
Mr. Le Tien has a long time working in the prosecution industry. From April 1, 2020, Mr. Le Tien was seconded to hold the position of Chief Prosecutor of the People's Procuracy of Da Nang City for a term of 3 years.
Before being appointed as a Judge of the Supreme People's Court, Mr. Le Tien was the Head of Department 10 (Department of Supervision of the settlement of administrative cases, commercial and labor cases and other matters as prescribed by law), Supreme People's Procuracy.
The Resolution was passed by the National Assembly on November 28, 2024 and took effect from the date of approval by the National Assembly.
In addition, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man also signed and issued Resolution No. 174/2024/QH15 of the National Assembly on the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly, stating that the National Assembly passed 18 laws and 21 resolutions; gave initial opinions on 10 draft laws.
The National Assembly highly appreciated the direction, administration and drastic and effective implementation of tasks and solutions of the Government, Prime Minister, ministries, branches and localities; commended the efforts of the business community and people of all walks of life who have basically completed and exceeded many targets and tasks of socio-economic development and the state budget in 2024.
The Government coordinates with relevant agencies to continue to synchronously, promptly and comprehensively implement the goals, tasks and solutions set out by the Party, National Assembly and Government, striving to achieve the highest targets in the Socio-Economic Development Plan for 2025 and the 5-year period of 2021-2025.

The National Assembly also resolved to continue reducing the value added tax rate by 2% for the groups of goods and services specified in Point a, Section 1.1, Clause 1, Article 3 of Resolution No. 43/2022/QH15 of the National Assembly on fiscal and monetary policies to support the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program from January 1, 2025 to June 30, 2025.
