This afternoon (February 18), at the Presidential Palace, President Luong Cuong presided over the ceremony to announce and hand over the President's decision to appoint Deputy Prime Ministers and Ministers for the 2021 - 2026 term.
Authorized by the President, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Pham Thanh Ha announced the President's decision to appoint Mr. Mai Van Chinh and Mr. Nguyen Chi Dung as Deputy Prime Minister; Minister of Construction for Mr. Tran Hong Minh; Minister of Science and Technology for Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung; Minister of Agriculture and Environment for Mr. Do Duc Duy; Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions for Mr. Dao Ngoc Dung.
At the ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of the Party and State presented flowers and congratulated the new Deputy Prime Ministers Mai Van Chinh, Nguyen Chi Dung and the newly appointed Ministers.
Speaking at the ceremony, on behalf of the Party and State leaders, President Luong Cuong congratulated the 6 personnel who have just received the appointment decision; affirmed that this is the recognition and appreciation of the Party, State and people for the contributions and dedication of comrades throughout their working process; at the same time, it is a heavier task, a higher requirement and responsibility of comrades to unite with the Government and the Prime Minister to successfully organize the implementation of the very heavy task in 2025 and in the coming time.
The President affirmed that the 6 personnel appointed this time are all cadres with strong political will, good moral qualities, always enthusiastic, high responsibility with outstanding contributions and marks in performing assigned duties and tasks.
The President stated that each personnel in a different field of work and profession is trained and fostered basically, systematically, in the right position, and has been trained to mature through all levels, has seniority in work and extensive experience in operation, and has experience in leadership and management from the grassroots level in many different positions from the Central to the local level.
Regardless of position, they have completed their assigned tasks well, contributing significantly to the growth of the sector, locality and the overall activities of the Government.
The President affirmed that the Party, State and people are placing great trust and expectations on the Government in performing their functions, tasks and powers to develop the country quickly and sustainably.
The President believes that the personnel appointed this time will continue to promote the glorious tradition of the Government; good achievements from the working process, excellent completion of newly assigned tasks, worthy of the trust of the Party, State and people.
Speaking on receiving the assignment, on behalf of the personnel assigned by the appointment decision, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung emphasized that this is a great honor, and at the same time, a very heavy responsibility assigned by the Party, State and people.
Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung promised to strictly comply with the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and the Prime Minister's direction; at the same time, he wished to wholeheartedly devote himself to a great aspiration and a bright heart to work with the Government under the leadership of the Prime Minister to strive to excellently complete the assigned tasks.
