The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1239/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Yen Bai province for the 2023-2025 period.
Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly resolved to arrange commune-level administrative units in Yen Binh district as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 9.62 km2 and population of 4,308 people of Yen Binh commune into Bach Ha commune. After merging, Bach Ha commune has a natural area of 30.36 km2 and a population of 8,777 people.
After the arrangement, Yen Binh district has 23 commune-level administrative units, including 21 communes and 2 towns.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Yen Bai city as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 1.42 km2 and population of 7,633 people of Nguyen Phuc ward into Hong Ha ward. After merging, Hong Ha ward has a natural area of 2.51 km2 and a population of 16,691 people.
After the arrangement, Yen Bai city has 14 commune-level administrative units, including 8 wards and 6 communes.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Tran Yen district as follows:
Thanh Thinh commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 13.44 km2 and the population of 3,095 people of Dao Thinh commune and the entire natural area of 14.33 km2 and the population of 3,102 people of Viet Thanh commune. After establishment, Thanh Thinh commune had a natural area of 27.77 km2 and a population of 6,197 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 5.11 km2 and population of 2,192 people of Nga Quan commune into Cuong Thinh commune. After merging, Cuong Thinh commune has a natural area of 21.46 km2 and a population of 4,893 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 10.47 km2 and population of 3,217 people of Bao Hung commune into Minh Quan commune. After merging, Minh Quan commune has a natural area of 30.09 km2 and a population of 8,043 people.
After the arrangement, Tran Yen district has 18 commune-level administrative units, including 17 communes and 1 town.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Yen Bai province has 9 district-level administrative units, including 7 districts, 1 town and 1 city; 168 commune-level administrative units, including 146 communes, 12 wards and 10 towns.
This Resolution comes into force from December 1, 2024.
