The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1246/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Lang Son province for the period 2023 - 2025.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Trang Dinh district as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 29.64 km2 and population of 636 people of Vinh Tien commune into Khanh Long commune. After merging, Khanh Long commune has a natural area of 75.20 km2 and a population of 1,520 people.
Adjust a part of the natural area of 18.61 km2 and population of 8,527 people of Dai Dong commune to merge into That Khe town. After adjustment, That Khe town has a natural area of 19.48 km2 and a population of 13,776 people.
Merge the entire natural area of 9.00 km2 and population of 470 people of Dai Dong commune after adjustment according to the provisions at Point b of this Clause into Doi Can commune. After merging, Doi Can commune has a natural area of 54.92 km2 and a population of 1,333 people.
After the arrangement, Trang Dinh district has 20 commune-level administrative units, including 19 communes and 01 town.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Van Quan district as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 18.50 km2, population of 2,747 people of Dong Giap commune and the entire natural area of 18.37 km2, population of 2,439 people of Trang Cac commune into Khanh Khe commune. After merging, Khanh Khe commune has a natural area of 46.44 km2 and a population of 7,126 people.
After the arrangement, Van Quan district has 15 commune-level administrative units, including 14 communes and 01 town.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Loc Binh district as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 48.79 km2 and population of 1,752 people of Tinh Bac commune into Tam Gia commune. After merging, Tam Gia commune has a natural area of 97.56 km2 and a population of 3,831 people.
After the arrangement, Loc Binh district has 20 commune-level administrative units, including 18 communes and 2 towns.
Arrange the commune-level administrative units of Huu Lung district as follows:
Merge the entire natural area of 6.05 km2 and population of 5,172 people of Ha Son commune into Huu Lung town. After merging, Huu Lung town has a natural area of 10.87 km2 and a population of 16,858 people.
After the arrangement, Huu Lung district has 23 commune-level administrative units, including 22 communes and 1 town.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Lang Son province has 11 district-level administrative units, including 10 districts and 1 city; 194 commune-level administrative units, including 175 communes, 5 wards and 14 towns.
This Resolution comes into force from December 1, 2024.
