This afternoon (December 24), at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee Tran Cam Tu worked with representatives of leaders of agencies, Party Committees, public service units, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations in the Central Committee on the situation of summarizing the implementation of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee "Some issues on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently".
According to VNA, according to the Report at the working session, as of 2:00 p.m. on December 23, 2024, regarding the situation and progress of implementing the project to rearrange and streamline the apparatus according to the Central's orientation, all agencies, Party Committees, and Party public service units assigned to preside over the development of the Project have completed and sent the Project to the Central Steering Committee.
For agencies, Party Committees, and Party public service units at the Central level:
Central Organizing Committee: Reduce 2 department-level units (from 14 to 12 units; equivalent to 14.2%); reduce 3 room-level units (from 16 to 13 units; equivalent to 18.7%).
Propaganda Department and Mass Mobilization Department (expected after merger): Reduce 6 department-level units (from 25 units to 19 units; equivalent to 24%); reduce 23 department-level units (from 28 to 5 departments; equivalent to 82.14%).
Central Economic Committee: Reduce 3 department-level units (from 9 to 6 units; equivalent to 33.33%); reduce 10 room-level units.
Central Internal Affairs Committee: Reduce from 2 department-level units (from 12 to 10 units; equivalent to 16.67%); reduce 4 room-level units (from 8 to 4 units; equivalent to 50%).
Central Inspection Commission: Reduce 2 department-level units (from 14 to 12 units; equivalent to 14.2%); reduce 7 room-level units (from 12 to 5 units; equivalent to 58.33%).
Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (after receiving the functions and tasks of the Central Theoretical and Scientific Councils; merging with the Academy of Public Administration): Reducing 21 department-level units (from 54 units before the merger to 33 department-level units after the merger; equivalent to 38.88%).
Nhan Dan Newspaper: Reduce 10 department-level units (from 25 to 15 units; equivalent to 40%); reduce 16 room-level units (from 41 to 25 units; equivalent to 39%).

Central Agency of the Vietnam Fatherland Front: Reduce 8 department-level units (from 16 to 8 units; equivalent to 50%); increase 4 more room-level units.
Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Agency, for the General Confederation Agency: Reduce 4 department-level units (from 10 to 6 units; equivalent to 40%); reduce 3 room-level units (equivalent to 42.85%)...
For Central and equivalent industry trade unions: Reduce 1 trade union organization (from 19 organizations to 18 organizations; equivalent to 5.26%); each industry trade union establishes at least 3 committees, after rearranging the central industry trade unions there are 54 committees (18.18%).
For public service units under the General Confederation: Reduce 4 units (from 12 units to 8 units; equivalent to 33.33%).
Central Office of Vietnam Farmers' Union, regarding the apparatus: Reduce 7 department-level units (from 15 units to 8 units; equivalent to 46.67%); reduce 6/8 department-level units (equivalent to 75%) and the Representative Office in the South.
Central Office of the Vietnam Women's Union, regarding the apparatus: Reduce 5 department-level units (from 15 units to 10 units; equivalent to 33.3%); reduce 9 departments in public service units (from 60 units to 51 units; equivalent to 15%).
