This morning (December 21), in Hanoi, the Ministry of Home Affairs held a conference to review the work in 2024 and deploy the tasks in 2025 of the Home Affairs sector.
Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh; Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra and leaders of the Ministry of Home Affairs chaired the Conference.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra said that in 2024, the Ministry of Home Affairs is the agency with the highest number of documents submitted to competent authorities for promulgation with 163 directives and conclusions of the Politburo, the Secretariat, Laws, Resolutions of the National Assembly, the National Assembly Standing Committee, Resolutions, Decrees of the Government, Decisions, Directives, and Official Dispatches of the Prime Minister. The Minister of Home Affairs issued 23 Circulars and consolidated documents under his authority.
In particular, it has advised on the implementation of 4/6 tasks on salary policy reform according to Resolution 27-NQ/TW of the Central Committee, the breakthrough being the proposal to implement salary reform policy according to a reasonable, cautious, step-by-step, practical and effective roadmap; in which the basic salary is adjusted to increase by 30% - the highest increase ever and adding 10% bonus on the total basic salary fund for agencies and units in the political system, creating motivation and improving the lives of cadres, civil servants and public employees.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has presided over and coordinated with ministries, branches and localities to complete the arrangement of administrative units at district and commune levels for the 2023 - 2025 period.
"Highly focused on advising the Government Steering Committee to implement the plan to rearrange and streamline the Government apparatus in accordance with the direction of the Central Steering Committee with an unprecedented amount of work. Up to now, we have basically completed all related reports and projects submitted to the Politburo and the Central Steering Committee to ensure progress and meet the requirements and directions of the Central Committee" - Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra said.

2025 is the final year of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the time to prepare for a new era, the era of national growth.
Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra emphasized that the tasks of the Home Affairs sector in 2025 are very heavy. Faced with the requirements of the task, more than ever, the Home Affairs sector needs to have higher determination and greater aspirations. Each cadre, civil servant and public employee needs to improve their professional capacity, expertise, forecasting capacity, proactively grasp the situation early and from afar to promptly advise competent authorities to effectively resolve issues arising from practice.
