Mr. Cao Tien Dung was a member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of the Long Thanh District Party Committee (formerly).
On August 30, 2019, the 11th Session of the 9th Provincial People's Council held an extraordinary meeting to approve the contents of personnel work. Mr. Cao Tien Dung was elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province for the 2016-2021 term.
On July 14, 2023, the 12th session of the People's Council of Dong Nai province, term X, 2021-2026, approved a draft resolution on the dismissal of Mr. Cao Tien Dung from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Nai province, term X, 2021-2026.
After that, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee transferred Mr. Cao Tien Dung to work at the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; appointed Mr. Cao Tien Dung to hold the position of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee from September 1, 2023.
On February 18, 2025, the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee announced the decision to appoint Mr. Cao Tien Dung - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee to hold the position of Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee.
