On April 22, in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission held a working session with the United Nations Children's Fund in Vietnam.
Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Vu Thanh Mai and Ms. Silvia Danailov - Chief Representative and delegates of the United Nations Children's Fund to Vietnam attended the working session.
At the meeting, representatives of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee's leadership presented an overview of the cooperation situation of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee with the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in Vietnam in recent times.
In particular, in the period from 2022-2023, UNICEF has accompanied and supported the Central Propaganda Department (now the Central Propaganda Department and the Central Committee) in the process of developing and completing the 10-year Summary Project on implementation of Directive No. 20-CT/TW, dated 5.11.2012 of the Politburo "on strengthening the Party's leadership in the care, education and protection of children in the new situation".
The two sides exchanged experiences in child care, education and protection; agreed on a number of contents of mutual interest to sign a coordination program for the 2025-2030 period.
The discussions and exchanges between the two sides demonstrate the spirit of cooperation, interest and respect from both sides in the fields of child care, education and protection.
Mr. Vu Thanh Mai affirmed that the content was very important in the work of building people; human resource development; At the same time, it is suggested that UNICEF in Vietnam strengthen the exchange and information sharing with the Central Propaganda and Propaganda Department, supporting the advice of construction, implementation, inspection, supervision and preliminary, summarizing the Directive No. 28-CT/TW, December 25, 2023 of the Politburo on strengthening the care, education and child protection to meet the requirements of prosperous and happy country.
UNICEF representative in Vietnam Silvia Danailov emphasized that Vietnam's policies, laws, efforts and achievements in protecting and caring for children are highly appreciated by the international community. The field of child care, protection and education has always been a top priority in Vietnam's development policy.
Ms. Silvia Danailov said that Directive No. 28-CT/TW of the Politburo has demonstrated the concern of the Party and State for the care, education and protection of children in the new situation by providing comprehensive, focused orientations for sustainable development.
She expressed her hope that Vietnam's ministries, branches and localities will continue to replicate and spread the effectiveness of the child-friendly provincial/city, commune/ward model; and pledged to closely and effectively coordinate with Vietnam's ministries, branches and localities to promote the common cooperation program.
