More than 99% of Bac Kan voters agree with the merger project with Thai Nguyen

Bac Kan - Bac Kan province has just organized a public consultation on the Project on arranging commune-level administrative units and the Project to merge the two provinces of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen.

According to the report of the Department of Home Affairs submitted to the People's Committee of Bac Kan province, the total number of voters on the list of opinions is 82,273 people. Of which, the number of voters participating in the comments reached 81,686 people, equivalent to 99.29%.

For the Project to reorganize commune-level administrative units to reduce from 108 to 37 communes and wards, 80,208 voters agreed, reaching a rate of 97.49%.

The number of voters who disagreed was 1,477, accounting for 1.81% (1 vote was invalid). In particular, 51 communes, wards and towns achieved a 100% consensus rate, 52 units achieved from 80% to less than 100%, and only 5 units achieved from 50% to less than 80%.

The project to merge the two provinces of Bac Kan and Thai Nguyen has 81,506 voters in favor, accounting for 99.07%. There were 108 voters who disagreed, equivalent to 0.22%.

After collecting opinions, the Department of Home Affairs recorded a number of comments related to the plan to reorganize communes in Pac Nam, Cho Don, Ba Be districts... Proposals related to adjusting the name or location of administrative centers.

However, due to the high general consensus rate, the Department proposed that the province decide to keep the options as in the original draft.
